Descrizione
First registered on 01/ 09/ 71, this is a genuine UK type 105. 58 RHD Kamm tail Spider in the rarer 1750 specification. It is in good overall condition but may benefit some cosmetic work beyond its patina.
The original registration mark was VMR 38K, which changed to TDD 50 on 12/ 08/ 83 (verified by MoTs going back to May 82), becoming and then EDD 52K by the 16/ 11/ 87 issue MoT.
A previous owner acquired the car on 14/ 12/ 88, after which its history file records a major restoration in 1992 by Benalfa Performance Cars, being rebuilt with numerous new and reconditioned panels and mechanicals, and resprayed in Rosso 514 (slightly lighter than the original red: photo prints and negatives of the work in the file).
The previous owner to me purchased the vehicle on 20/ 01/ 96, and it was garaged and only used during summer months. In 2010 the engine was rebuilt by Alfa specialist David Hood, with components supplied by Classic Alfa, including upgrade to electronic ignition 123 distributor and Bosch blue coil.
I purchased the car from him in 2021, to enjoy and drive. Work travel and other priorities have meant the car has had little use, beyond a lovely weekend drive every month.
Although tax and MoT exempt, for 3rd party inspection purposes I have continued to submit the car for its annual roadworthiness test (latest one pending!)
My partner and I have decided to move onto our sailboat full time, and sadly that means this beauty has to find a new home!
2 sets of keys, original owners handbook and Giulia 1962-78 workshop manual included, with many receipts and associated documents. It is a wonderful car to drive, with the roof down and the sound of the 1970's carby engine popping away. All receipts and work done available and will be sold with a box full of history.
