Description
A home-market BN1 in its original specification and original colours, with minimal variation from new (all as confirmed by BMIHT certificate of authentication). In extremely good condition with correct panel gaps and an excellent stance.
The bodywork was comprehensively restored by the last owner (with photographic record) and the car has clearly been fastidiously maintained since then. It still presents beautifully and the paintwork now looks perfectly patinated - very hard to fault in any regard. The underside is solid and straight with no visible corrosion and is correctly painted in body colour. A major mechanical overhaul was undertaken in 2005 and more recently the wheels and tyres were replaced. Everything about the car is working very well indeed and it is wonderful to drive.
The seats are trimmed in piped black leather and are in very good condition as is the tonneau. The boot space is trimmed. The hood and sidescreens are present and useable but have not been renewed. Modifications are minimal and all in keeping with the period: cold air box, louvred bonnet, Moto Lita steering wheel and P700 headlamps.
Unlike many early Healeys, this car is in correct specification, it drives and presents beautifully with terrific paint, great panel fit and lovely interior trim. It requires nothing and is ready for immediate use. Can be viewed within easy reach of the M25, A1M and A10.
