1957 Ford Thunderbird in Starmist Blue with a colonial white hardtop. White convertible top , the original factory interior is Starmist Blue and dresden Blue. I have known of this car since 1990 . Personal friend of long time owner . Hence full history since day one! She a 312 Y Block with 245 bhp. Fordomatic and power steering and brakes . As a late production car she has Dial-O-Matic - power seats. Electric widows . I do have the original radio too! Sold new at Range Motors in Hibbing. The boyhood home of Mr Bob Dyan . Pretty much an original car as some restoration work was done between 1969 and 1972. She was purchased by the previous owner to myself in 1968. NOS Ford parts were used at that time etc... she's all stock with the correct through the bumpers exhausts as nature intended! These cars have a very sexy exhaust note ! The exhaust was fitted by a relative back in 1990 and is still good ! A quality job! This Thunderbird has a very long History! She's on correct Firestone Factory type tyres on Thunderbird Wire wheels as most of these cars currently have. I have the stock Ford wheels too! ( Ford Thunderbird wire wheels were issued to the then Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster in 1962 and have been retro fitted to most "Babybirds " since) in conclusion she's a very nice survivor that one can use easily! A great driving Thunderbird, as mentioned she has retained most of her original features and has not been messed around with over the years! She has had an engine rebuild in the Seventies! I have had the Fordomatic overhauled here in the UK recently with a NOS torque converter, new rear leaf springs etc and other small usual items on old cars. She's a God old girl with a very interesting past ! Thanks for interest ! CheersThe best features are: iconic beautiful styling, very popular in the day with the Hollywood set ! Great fun to drive and easy to park with power steering. They fit a standard UK garage . One has to use "The Bunny Dip" to enter and exit ! True one has the get used to these cars! The cabin is tight ! I'm 6'3" and one rides tall in the saddle ! The steering wheel is telescopic by two inches! This helps one to get comfortable! Good leg room . Wing flaps for extra cooling
