This car came to me in very sound condition but needing some mechanical work that was sorted back in April (Propshaft joints, brakes & carburettors).
Being 44 years old and unrestored, she is not perfect but she runs and drives really well and is very original. The bodywork is very good, especially the underbody. Although I don't have any certification of it, she was injected into the cavities, presumably for new given the condition.
Although the car is exempt from MOT and vehicle tax, it actually has a current MOT valid to 20th June 2024 to validate its current roadworthiness.
The speedo needs to be refurbished as it reads very low: I've been using a speedo app on my phone.
The rubber seals on the tailgate need replacing and the thermostat (or sensor?) may need replacing. The engine doesn't seem to warm up as quickly or as far as I think it should.
This one is 'top of the range' with the optional overdrive, vinyl roof and folding sunroof. I've shown it as 5 gears in the data as there's no way to indicate 4 plus overdrive.

I think Inca yellow is my favourite BL colour for the sports cars (MGs and Triumphs).
It comes with some history which shows that it's been on the road in occasional use for much of its recent life.
I had a limited budget and these late model MGs, with rubber bumpers, are still reasonably priced.
As these have only recently started to rise in value, it should be a good investment if looked after.
It's now surplus to my requirements as the Sceptre is back on the road.
