Triumph spitfire First registered October 1972 making it tax and MOT exempt although the car has a current MOT until July 2024. Recently having finished a body off restoration where it went down to a bare shell and chassis no expense speared when it came to new parts it had been fully resprayed in demask red that over all is a nice job there is a couple of place that could do with a professional flat and polish to bring it up to a better standard the bonnet dose have a small amount of paint shrink in the middle cause some light crazing in the paint work but all being said doesn?t deter from being a very well presentable and usable car.
As benefitting from the recent work as you can imagine the car drives and performs very well making it a pleasure to drive with the engine starting hot or cold without issues and pulling well trough all the gears when it comes to stopping again that is without any fault as has had new front callipers and brake pipes along with discs and pads the rear drums have been overhauled so peace of mind there to.
Onto the interior the front seat again has been recovered and reformed making the well presentable and comfy with black carpets throughout the inside in good condition and black door cards to finish it off well. The wood dash is all good with no lifting or cracks. all the dials are working and clear to be read with the milometer reading 79100 witch we believe to be correct but unfortunately, we have no paper work to back that up as all the paper work form previous owner and restoration has been lost by the previous owner. But looking and inspecting the car you can see that it has never fallen into a state or disrepair and has always been looked after. The car has also benefited from a hood frame refurbishment a new black vinyl roof fitted that work correctly and easily.
The underside of the car is very nice and has not been coated in a thick underbody sealer meaning you can still see the floor pane and the condition of them that is good along with the chassis that had been stripped protected and painted and is still in very good condition. There is also a full stainless twin pipe exhaust.
Over all this is a very good usable classics the is tax and mot exempt making it ulez free and with cheap classics insurance making it a very fun and cost-effective way to get around and with a very enjoyable driving experience. Viewing is very highly recommended and can be arranged for most times the car is in its winter storage so can be viewed inside
