Ford Mustang GT500 ELEANOR - Gone In 60 Seconds Perfect Replica
Eleanor is one of those "bucket list" cars that almost every petrol head longs to own or drive at some point in their life. I was fortunate enough to own this amazing example for the last year, but unfortunately due to changes in my storage situation, I can no longer give her a good home.
Its quite gutting as I spent almost a year searching for an excellent example in USA, France and Italy, paying for inspections along the way on over 10 cars.
There's so much to say about this car that it's impossible to fit in this ad, but let's start with the basics:-
She was built from a clean, rust-free 1968 genuine Fast Back with numbers matching Big Block . The entire build of this car was documented from start to finish and will be made available in PDF format to any interested buyers.
The accuracy of this replica is second to none, with everything from the bodykit and wheels to the mirrors, fog lights, paint manufacturer & colour, fuel cap, Deluxe interior, steering wheel and even the oil pan being exactly the same as those used in the movie. All of these parts are quite rare, which is why you will find many Eleanors have cut corners on these things.
But there's more to Eleanor than just looks, you need the performance too. This is why my Eleanor features a stroked 432CI engine, with forged piston & rods, uprated cylinder heads camshaft and lifters and hooker headers producing around 500hp. Add to that a fully functional 150hp shot NOS system (with bottle warmer and purge kit) along with a line lock kit for drag racing and I can see why Nicholas Cage was scared to drive her!!
Of course to support this power she has Wilwood brakes all round, power steering, subframe connectors and shock tower bracing along with fully adjustable shocks.
