Private Sale. Beautiful 1972 Triumph Spitfire MK 1V. This vehicle is mostly original. All original floors, never any rust. Most of the paint is original, except for the Bonnet and part of the passenger side fender and door which was resprayed before my ownership. Color is Pimento. Shut lines are excellent. No accidents. Interior has all been redone as well as the Suspension and Exhaust System. The engine was replaced under warranty with the larger 1. 5 Liter. I believe the convertible top may be original and is in excellent condition.
This vehicle was purchased new by a dentist in Alaska and he kept this vehicle on San Padre Island off the coast of Washington. The mileage is documented and correct. Comes with a binder full of documentation from new, including owners manuals, titles of previous owners, engine replacement tag, service records, receipts for parts replaced, etc. The vehicle could use new tires and wheels painted and it does need a new windshield gasket.
This Spitfire would make a nice driver as well as being a nice show car. It starts right up and runs great. The Transmission is tight and shifts well. All electrics and guages work. Comes with original boot cover and Tonneau Cover as well as original radio, Bonnet Support and boxes of parts including extra oil filters, wheel bearings, brake components, and various gaskets.
The vehicle could use new tires and wheels painted and it does need a new windshield gasket.
Only reason for selling is looking to make space in the garage.
