Time has shown that the targa concept is quite brilliant compared to an open cabriolet. The collapsible roof piece folds and finds its place under the front luggage compartment, and the driver and passenger get the full open-air experience, but without the significant rear drag that often accompanies a drive in an open car. In addition, it produces less wind noise compared to a soft top when closed and seals better against rain. This superb 911 has the rare options of Sportomatic transmission and air conditioning.
