SOLD - This gold 1982 TR7 convertible with the 2L engine was going to be the basis of a historic rally car so I didn’t mind that it needed a little bit of work but I’m now going in a different direction therefore I am offering it for sale. The underside looks very solid and the turrets too so I think the basics are all good, the car runs and drives, goes and stops and the pop up headlights work correctly (a common source of failure). The bodywork is pretty good, crusty around a couple of wheel arches and one of the seats will need reupholstering (I was going to fit rally seats so this wasn’t an issue) and the hood, whilst in good condition, has shrunk in places. So, whilst not perfect, the car is an excellent starting point and will make an easy project for someone. Odometer shows 46, 000, previous MOTs and invoices seem to back this up but I’m not guaranteeing it.
