Historic Ex - Goodwood Race Car
1961 TVR Grantura / MG
I have for sale a 1961 TVR Grantura which was raced by John Woolfe in a number of International races during 1961 including at the British Grand Prix race meeting at Aintree and the British Empire Trophy meeting at Silverstone, plus races at Brands Hatch and at Goodwood.
Other drivers in the same races included Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori, Bruce McLaren and Stirling Moss.
It is a factory Lightweight car which was running and driving up until only a few years ago, and has been dry stored since then.
Totally complete and very original.
It would be very easy to get it up and running, or a new owner might want to go a bit further and carry out a simple and straight-forward strip down, repaint and restoration.
The car would be eligible for all the best historic race meetings including the Goodwood Revival if that might interest you.
I have lots of history and many period photographs.
I also have the DVLA Registration document and has been registered in my name for many years.
Comes with the original number plate 1226RO.
I also have a "brand new" original shape bonnet which is included in the sale.
