All of our vehicles undergo rigorous checks before going on sale: more than 70 inspection points are verified (mechanical, chassis, bodywork, interior and accessories) + a full road test carried out by our workshop foreman. Each vehicle also undergoes an engine compression check and/ or a cold oil pressure check (depending on technical possibilities). The body of this particular example has been restored a few years ago and the shell was given a completely fresh paint finish in line with the original colour chart. We noted a small scratch and a mark beneath the TRIUMPH motif on the bonnet as well as a small chip on the edge of the door. A small crack remains visible on the paint of the left rear wing, and a small scratch near the front left light. The boot also shows a few paint defects. The black PVC hood has been replaced recently and its lining is in perfect condition, with no micro-scratches or tears. The four body-colour wheels are in good condition, despite a slight marbling of the paint. All four original wheel trims are in good condition despite very light oxidation. The two chrome obus mirrors are also in very good condition. All the chrome trim and mouldings are complete, aligned and in excellent condition. Only the original bumpers appear slightly oxidised. Interior: The upholstery has been completely redone by our upholsterer in 2018 (receipt: €988). The original bucket seats in black vinyl with white piping are in as-new condition with no signs of wear or damage. The carpets are also in perfect condition. All plastics and door panels are in near-new condition. The dashboard has been restored as well as the cap, everything is in perfect condition. In keeping with the original, the dashboard is painted body colour. The Bakelite steering wheel and the original black Bakelite gear knob show a light patina. The original Jaeger dashboard instruments are fully functional. This example is equipped with its original spare wheel and wheel cover. Chassis: The on-lift inspection confirms a sound chassis and body, with no visible accident damage or structural corrosion. The fundamentals: ladder-type chassis, sills, wheel arches, wheel openings, floors and longitudinals are in good condition. Usage reserve: by principle we cannot guarantee perfection of alignments beyond their good visual and functional condition validated during the road test and on the lift. During the dynamic test, we noted no abnormal rattles from the body or running gear (track rods, bushings...). Braking is aligned and its effectiveness complies with period standards. The front discs show wear under 20% and their pads wear under 60%. The rear drums are perfectly functional and free of seepage traces. The technical inspection prior to delivery will confirm the overall proper operation. Engine / Transmission: The mechanicals are running perfectly. The road test as well as the compression check performed by our workshop confirm a healthy 4-cylinder. Starting is easy and the idle is steady.
