Originally supplied by Hector Dobbs dealership in Southampton, I have the history for the car going back to the late 70’s.
During that time she has been cared for by several marque specialists.
The Riley is very reliable and has excellent oil pressure. Presenting very nicely in Autumn Red she has a lovely original interior- though I suspect the headlining may have been replaced at the time of restoration.
Fitted with additional brake/ indicator lights and flashing semaphore bulbs. The front indicators are piggybacked with the front sidelight bulbs so tasteful but effective.
She is in regular use and in the past couple of months has taken us from Sussex to the Cotswolds and Dorset. This is a car that is well capable of keeping up with modern traffic and is very happy at 70 on the motorway. I recently changed the steering rack gaiters and replaced all of the seals in the braking system. Last year the oil pump was professionally refurbished.
These cars have exceptional parts back up through an excellent club which also has an active social scene.
