My wife has owned this car from new, and has only covered about 2000 miles p. a.
She refused to drive on Motorways, and the car has rarely been over 40mph.
Garaged, and given lots of love, this car is one of the best examples to be found of this Classic Golf. We have a full service history since purchase, and almost all maintenance has been carried out in one of my own auto workshops, to exacting standards. There has been refurbishment as required.
It drives beautifully, and is a dream to use with the electric hood down. You will love it.
£6450I bought this car as a gift for my wife when she joined me in Oxford. The cost in 1997, adjusted for inflation, would today be around £46, 000, which helps explain why so few were sold. This car, particularly in this condition, is becoming rare.
My favourite thing about it is putting the hood down on a sunny day and quietly cruising down Oxfordshire lanes.
