I bought this car over three years ago the previous owner, a full time mechanic, did a complete mechanical overhaul. He also replaced any rusty panels and had the car painted. He also replaced the interior and hood. The paint finish was not up to a my standards therefore I had the car full repainted shortly after buying it.
To give some idea of the investment its had the following work the list is not a complete one as I would be writing forever.
Reconditioned engine, this has done little miles since being done probably no more than 2k about half a mile with me. The gearbox and drive trail were overhauled, as were the brakes and steering
Parts included but not limited to callipers braided hoses, discs pads pipes, steering rack, springs shocks, stainless exhaust, bushes,
Petrol tank, wheels and tyres, hood, Lucas headlights and front lights.
New interior seat covers springs foam etc, carpets including boot mat. Nardi steering wheel.
A fortune in total.
Shortly after purchase I had the car fully re painted as the paint was letting the car down.
It has a period stereo which is Bluetooth.
The car has sat at my home for three years not going anywhere, it never failed to start and runs well.
Decided it needs to go to someone who will use it.
Carbs started leaking from base of float chamber, new O rings fitted along with inlet valves. Would now benefit from adjusting but still runs well. From driving on the street brakes seem like they may need bleeding/ fluid change. Would suggest it has a check over before any distance runs. I have changed the oil and filter, purely on a time basis.
