This 1997 Renault Safrane is very rare - it is a GENUINE Questor X edition.
One of four known UK cars left, it benefits from the heated seats, electric seats, and satnav system.
If you’re reading this, you probably know about the Safrane and know how rare this car is. It has the fabled Volvo engine and auto gearbox, both of which work fabulously well.
Loads of service history..... including the original bill of sale for £26, 900!
I purchased this car earlier this month on a usual French car whim. Unfortunately, the wife has suggested that it’s one car too many and it needs to go promptly.
The previous owner acquired the Safrane in November 2022 from a family in Norwich and it has extensive service history. They told him it was in regular use for trips to France, but the elderly owner gave up driving, hence the sale. Both of us had planned to take it to shows, but what with working full time I've not had the chance.
The MOT expired in November. I had my local garage check it over and it needs a new tyre, some patches of welding to both sills at the rear, and the airbag light investigated. Hopefully not too much for a prospective owner, but as no MOT, will need trailering home. To make it really nice, the O/ S rear panel could do with a respray as the paint has faded.
Overall, it’s a cheap little project for someone that shouldn’t take too much to make right. It has extensive history, runs and drives well, and is the ultimate Safrane model, being the Questor X (basically, you won’t find another, as I have been looking for one for a decade!).
