1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI - MK1 · Hatchback · 118, 000 km
Hi,
I'm selling my MK1 Golf GTI as a fully functional project car. It starts right up, runs smoothly, and the brakes are in good working order.
It features nearly new Stance Plus coilovers, the original 1. 8L engine, and the original wheels.
The interior is in great condition, with only minor, easily fixable splits along the fabric seams. The dashboard is also in good shape, and it retains its original radio. There is also the original dealer rear number plate.
The car's structure is solid, including the boot floor, the leading edge of the boot, and the strut tops. There are a few rust blisters on the driver’s door and sill, along with some minor rust in various spots, but overall, it’s in great condition for its age.
I’ve just had a full service completed, including an oil change, new filter, plugs, air filter, and coolant.
A few interior trim pieces are missing (door pull surrounds, boot trim, and the parcel shelf), and the clutch is a bit stiff.
There’s some rust on the rear valance, but a repair panel is included.
The car was CAT C around 12 years ago.
It’s registered as a historic vehicle, meaning it’s exempt from both tax and MOT.
I’ve got a trade deal on the table, just seeing if there would be any interest from someone wanting to pay cash before I go ahead with that.
