A very fine specimen of a very rare car. Excellent all round, and recently fully recommisioned by well known dealer near Scarborough, who only sold the best, now sadly retired after many years. A true gentleman with a serious depth of knowledge. I have added a picture of the list of work done, very comprehensive and reassuring.
He demonstrated the soundness of the body work by applying a magnet every few inches, to show that there are no patches of filler around the structure. Fresh waxoil was injected to futureproof the car. The superlative condition can be seen best in the pictures, if they let me show them all. No work is needed to the interior, all original with great depth and finish on the woodwork, perfect leather and chrome throughout. the engine bay is exactly as your mechanic would wish, and the boot is as new .
Avon tyres , as supplied. Even the original Bentley dealer's sticker is there on the back window unfaded, telling of being put in the garage, not left out in the elements . This is a time capsule; and while a concours judge may nit-pick, there's little to fault. Two details , the driver's door weatherstrip has been replaced, and the door needs a firm shut, and the air con is feeble and needs gas.
I've owned Rolls and Bentleys for over fifty years, and know how they should be- this one was the best I ever found. I also own a modern Continental, no comparison, but I also have a Corniche Convertible in a most unusual colour, Ice Green with light tan and a very unusual spec. which I may sell soon. It's pictured with the Bentley in my garage.
Old age is rapidly catching uo with me, and it becomes harder to enjoy these wonderful cars, and my nephews don't deserve them, so the Bentley can be bought for 32K as shown, no cheeky offers thankyou. If you are serious, call me and I would be proud to take you out for a drive. We're in the Peaks, near to Derby and the M1. Well worth the trip, you will not be disappointed. All original hand books and records , even the air con/ heater system instruction card fixed over the knobs, spare keys, with Bentley fob-so rare now. Many years mot slips which prove the mileage. All the minor controls seem to work, even the cruise control. Full over rugs, recently cleaned The as supplied radio was redone, and , joy of joys, the 8 track still works well! The coach lines are still there MoT until July, and road tax free on registration in your name. Naturaly, this kind of quality does not come cheap, you could find a high mileage example and spend many thousands trying to bring it up to this standard, and still have an inferior car. Remember, they're only original once.
