My Gloria Tourer had a full body and chassis restoration in 2003 and it remains in excellent condition having benefitted from wealthy and enthusiastic owners for the last 20 years. The engine was fully overhauled in 2007 since when it has reliably covered 11000 miles including two leisurely trips to France. During this time it has enjoyed further attention including an overhauled steering box, radiator, new aluminum fuel tank and four rebuilt wheels with new tyres among many other things. In the past year the pampering has continued with over 5000 pounds spent on a full inspection, servicing and upgrades including overhauled carbs and valve gear, electric cooling fan and even the old flip up trafficators have been made to work! Flashing indicators are also fitted front and rear for safety. Always a very pretty car the 1936 styling upgrades make this the most elegant of the Gloria Tourers. The Vitesse model has the uprated twin carb Coventry Climax engine and a very slick 4 speed gearbox with selectable freewheeling allowing effortless clutchless gearchanging. Excellent hydraulic brakes and hydraulic shock absorbers make it a pleasure to drive. A full hood and side screens are included. I am aware of nothing that needs doing, this is a lovely example of the marque that is ready to enjoy.
