MG TF 85th Anniversary unique replica.
Enigmatic Silver. Built from an XPower Grey 2003 donor TF135 to the most accurate specification possible. Using correct Bilstein dampers, genuine springs to correct front and rear specification, 85th LE 'Twist of Pepper' alloy wheels, AP front brakes, Park Assist, remote plip boot release, under bonnet lamp, MG Motor glass including LE500 hood, 85th/ LE500 facia, instrument pack, Clarion CD Player; all to 85th Anniversary specification. The car also comes with a body coloured hardtop incorporating 85th stripe decals. The full body harness and hubs were replaced during build to allow retro fitment of ABS. 2 sets of keys.
Winner of Car Of The Show award at MGF 25(+1) . The main distinguishing features between my car and a Factory 85th are my car has its original K-Series engine (which has covered a total mileage of less than 75k miles), and DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING; otherwise specification correct in all respects. It even has 'seal of approval' from the last TF Chief Engineer (and 85th Anniversary Project Manager himself), Dr Ian Pogson on underside of bootlid; therefore making it 'officially' Number 18 of 17 built! Included are two pictures showing car during build.
SLS head gasket replaced as matter-of-course during build in 2018. Belts were replaced June 2023, along with further mild restoration work involving rear end sill repairs.
Built at a cost of over £16000, agreed insurance value of £7500, so offers around that agreed value are sought.
Should that value be realised, I will include a set of New-Old-Stock 85th floor mats and a spare set of 85th anniversary body decals. The registration stays with the car as it means 'MG E-ighty F-ifT-h'After much searching for a Factory Enigmatic Silver 85th Anniversary and none of the 17 Factory cars built being on the market, I bought an available 2003 TF135, and with much blood, sweat & tears, build my TF 85th into that. Sourcing the rare and, in many cases unique parts, was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, but it is time for a new custodian to further enjoy this unique TF 85th Anniversary replica.
I live in Yorkshire but the car is stored in a secure location close to Junction 10 M42 (Tamworth) and is cared for by a member of the MG Owners Club on my behalf.
