Description
Triumph TR2 KBO 577
We are delighted to offer this 1954 Triumph TR2 presented in the classic colour of Old English White complimented by red interior trim and exterior details. Fully restored by the vendor with a variety of mechanical upgrades. This original UK supplied car has covered under 1000 miles since completion in 2024.
Mechanically, the engine, gearbox and back axle have all been rebuilt. The Engine is the original, matching numbers unit but has been rebuilt to the later TR4 specification and utilises the bigger HS6 carburettors. A vast improvement over the original H6 and now sits on open trumpets for improved induction noise and added throttle response. Maintaining the original type ‘Lockheed’ differential, the car can come supplied with the uprated ‘Girling’ axle for the new owner at additional cost.
To contain the added performance, the disc brake conversion has been completed on the front axle and makes the car are much safer and confidence inspiring drive. Having only covered little over 1000 dry miles since completion.
This wonderful TR2 comes complete with a comprehensive history file detailing the restoration work carried out. The car is being sold by the vendor as a private sale but is available for viewing at our Oxfordshire facility by appointment only.
This TR2 would be an ideal candidate for the concours lawn, rally or tours for this upcoming season.
