Description

A proper head turner…. looks awesome, sounds awesome and is a “drama” queen. A show stopper. Very popular at any event, this car is full of character. Reliable, and fun to drive…always arriving in style. It’s an opportunity to get a feel for what the original GT40 was like.

KEY FACTS

This KCC GT40 is an intoxicating and faithful tribute to the legendary Le Mans-winning Ford GT40.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated fuel-injected 302-cubic inch (5. 0-litre) ‘small block’ Ford V8, fed by a FiTech Go EFI four-barrel carburettor, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual Audi transmission.
Originally a South African-market example, this GT40 replica was imported into the UK and first registered with the DVLA in October 2023.
The odometer shows around 3, 350 miles from new.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

The KCC GT40 was hand-built in South Africa and is based on the British KVA GT40 replica design developed by ex-Ford engineer, Ken Vincent Atwell.
This example is finished in the Ford historic period-correct shade of Candy Apple Red with contrasting twin white racing stripes, white ‘Ford’ side stripes, and large number 5 racing roundels on the sides and front and rear clamshells, as well as a number of period correct sponsorship decals.
Inside, the cabin features leather upholstery with quilted seat inserts and iconic metal GT40-specific ventilation eyelets, a black Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, chrome trim accents, and an aluminium plaque on the passenger-side dashboard with a signature of five-time Le Mans Winner Jacky Ickx signed ‘Spa 2019’ to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his historic 1969 Le Mans victory.
It rides on a set of 18-inch Halibrand-style alloy wheels finished in gloss black with polished lips and three-spoke knock-offs, shod in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres.
Equipment includes a flat-bottom OMP steering wheel, TRS harnesses, a wooden gear knob, mounted on the driver’s sill (as per the original GT40), Smiths and VDO gauges, a hand-held fire extinguisher, and hinged window ventilation sections.
This example also features a Ford Racing chrome oval air filter housing, Holley finned rocker covers, braided fuel lines, an MSD distributor, a ‘Bundle of Snakes’-style exhaust system, adjustable coilover suspension, and silicone hoses. CONDITION

Specific notes from the seller include: a full respray has been previously carried out, and the cabin has been recently retrimmed.
The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 21 September 2023 at 3, 100 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.
SERVICE HISTORY

The car’s most recent maintenance was carried out in-house in January 2025, consisting of an engine oil and filter change. Previously, in March 2024 at around 3, 200 miles by Le Mans Classics, which consisted of an engine oil and filter change, and new spark plugs being fitted.
