I imported this car into Cyprus (EU) from the UK in 2018 as a project, in a 50% restored condition. And have spent over £30000 on the full restoration since then. With a history folder full of all bills.
Fully rebuilt engine bored out to 1350cc with a brand new Lucas Laystall aluminium cylinder head fitted.
Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox fitted for easy driving with a modern diaphragm clutch.
New Eaton supercharger fitted from the USA giving an extra 40% power.
New full S/ S exhaust fitted with extractor manifold.
New upgraded steering box fitted.
New racing 10 pt alloy sump fitted for better engine cooling.
Upgraded front brakes to twin leading shoe like MG TD for better braking.
New S/ S fuel tank from Moss.
Full respray.
Plus many other new/ reconditioned parts. I have been restoring many Vintage/ Classic cars since 1970, and really enjoyed this restoration. Although unfortunately I am now 73 years old and far too old to drive this type of car and need more comfort. So would take either a good Jaguar MK2 or Daimler 2. 5 Automatic saloon with power steering in part exchange, There is no problem importing this car to other EU countries. I just love looking at this car in my garage and will be very sad to see it go, because it is a work of art really. Her name is 'Matilda' meaning strength.
