Description
Ginetta G27 which I have owned for over 15 years.
I am a retired UKAEA engineer and member of the Ginetta Owners Club as well as many other car clubs.
I have a passion for all things car, bike and aeroplane related.
"Gina" as she is named, has had a total mechanical rebuild and has done less than 500 miles in her total life.
Running a tuned 2. 1 Pinto and 5 speed gearbox, Twin Webers, Electronic Dizzy, Quaife torque proportional differential in an up-rated escort rear axle.
Rear disc conversion with Ford Cosworth 4x4 rear calipers and Ford discs, so she now disc brakes all round. (See photos)
New custom made alloy fuel tank, but I still have the original one too.
Every mechanical part of the car was rebuilt or replaced with new about two and a half years ago, but the car has remained in it's own air conditioned bubble since then. Only really taken out for MOT's and my daughter's school prom.
The bodywork is as it was when I first purchased the vehicle, to keep the colour and patina of the period.
Fitted Wilians harnesses and a hand held extinguisher.
Brand new TOYO tyres.
Zipped tonneau cover to allow singe driving with the cover on.
I have so many other projects, so unfortunately the car just doesn't get the use it deserves.
She will come with brand new MOT for purchaser.
I will be sorry to see her go, but I can then devote my efforts and funds to other things like my D Type replica.
Viewing by appointment only.
I also have access to a full car lift, so prospective purchaser's can see the true state of the car both above and below. I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
I have lots of spare parts that I took off the car when rebuilding her, as I tended to fit new parts to upgrade the car. (All spares can go with the car)
Some of the photographs were taken when rebuilding the car and others are current. As you can see, nothing has changed in 450 miles of use. I have probably hundreds of photos of the rebuild journey.
£9, 750 onoI purchased the car from a man near Goodwood, with the intent of using the car for Hillclimb and Sprints after some upgrades.
It ended up being a full rebuild as I got carried away again.
I also have other competition cars and eventually decided to go down the Historic F3 route with the 500oa.
Hence the car has never been used in competition or on any track.
A shame as it is fitted with all the necessary upgraded performance parts.
