Here I offer for sale my pride and joy for the last 13 years, a 1979 rhd Rover SD1 3500 in posseidon green metallic with nutmeg cloth interior. It has done 23000 mls from new, is totally rustfree and everything on it functions as it should. It has had a dinitrol cavity wax treatment as well as a very thorough rust protection treatment on the underside, in the wheelarches and the inner sills. An extensive picture file is available of all the work carried out as well as a comprehensive file of invoices, both on paper and as XL.
During the past 13 years it has seen no rain or wetness of any kind.
Cleaning the paintwork was done by a wet microfibre towel after each outing and never rinsed. It was dry stored in my workshop where I keep my other 4 classic cars. It was driven in winter every 14 days, wheather permitting, to keep everything going and lubricated.
The car has NOS Boge Nivomats which make the driving experience exceptionally smooth and enjoyable, the front shockabsorbers are Koni. The original electronic ignition has been replaced by a Pertronix system.
The original radio is still working fine. The original headlining started hanging down very recently after 45 years and has been replaced professionally. Fueltank has been derusted on the inside and was treated with rustprotection. I am the 2nd owner, the 1st owner being a Scottish farmer. All paperwork from that era is with the car, no maintenance records however. I bought the car with 20000 mls on the odometer. The original rhd headlights will be installed on the car in case of a UK buyer. The car came to me with the steel wheels and chrome 3500 hubcaps. The hubcaps are present, the steel wheels are not.
The car is located 15 minutes from Schiphol airport.
