This lovely vehicle i have owned for some 9 years, its a 1959, when i got it it had very little interior, although louve windows were in it put in when it was in the states i believe, very solid van, it had extensive work when i got it, fully stripped underneath is spotless, i intended to use it a lot but in the 9 years i have had it it has only done approx 400 miles i just take it out now and again to give it a run, it has had everything done to it, some of the things are, complete braking system inc dual master cylinder, all ball joints, steering pin, all gear linkages and bushes, reduction box bearings, tyres are like new, all engine, gearbox mounts, shocks, the list goes on.
All underneath has had under floor pans fitted, gearbox had new hockey stick, oil, seals, all new window seals.
Engine is a vw heritage new engine (not reconditioned) they still sell these for £5000 just for the block. As i say its only done some 400 miles, it is full flow with cooler and fan and filter, twin ict carbs, stainless exhaust. I have owned a few splitscreens and bay windows and with 1600cc its hard work up hills loaded up with this 1776cc it is not problem up the hills much more enjoyable to drive in modern traffic.
Inside is not original but is laid out in the same manner. It has leisure battery, hob, small cooker/ grill, fridge, sink with electric pump, plenty of storage the back is part of the bed under the cushions is storage. The seat lifts which make the bed so even with bed up you can still get to fridge etc. There are 2 bunks making it 4 berth,, elevating roof can be seen up, all carpeted under neath, all new canvas, nice old original vw lap belts fitted, front seat original all new base padding, seat covering and curtains as new well all of it is as new its not been used, stereo with extra pod speakers, cyclops light on roof.
Also inc in sale is the trailer tot rod fiberglass mounted on small trailer roof lifts for great storage, there is satellite dish and box, van cover for vw, and freestanding awning.
So sad to sell this i love it even though i dont drive it much but needs must.
Please dont waste my time with px offers or silly offers its priced to sell .
I have taken it to my local shows a couple of times it gets lots of interest. So great to use for holidays and shows. Not been lowered runs standard height.
If i am being critical the beige has a few blemishes in paint i notice them my friend says it not worth mentioning but i like to be honest dont get me wrong it still looks beautiful theres no rust. I bought it as i had one many years ago and missed it, i love the smaller back window. It does have reversing camera, But it had the 1600cc which made it hard work loaded up going uphills so this is great with the new 1776cc
