Description
Selling as a project. See the last MOT for details of what's required, but in summary, the floor requires welding in the sections used to attach the brake pipes, and the offside brake pipe needs replacing. Other negatives include a hole below the rear spoiler, a scrape above the nearside rear wheel, wipers that don't always work (think it requires a new stalk), and a big tear in the front passenger seat.
On the plus side, the rest of the bodywork is very good, it has four new Falken tyres, a new set of wiper blades, excellent air-con, the cambelt was done at 66k, and it is EXTREMELY comfortable. It all feels tight and well maintained, as you'd expect from a Safrane with just 70k on the clock.
Would love to keep it and finish it, but it needs somebody who's good at welding. I also need to concentrate on several other projects. Low mileage for the year, excellent air-con, engine feels tight, and the paintwork is great (if you ignore the hole in the boot and the scrape above the nearside rear wheel. I've owned, driven and travelled in several Safranes, and this is one of the loveliest. I'd be keeping it over my other Safrane, but I can't part with the Volvo five-pot!
