Recently Rebuilt engine!!!
This is my 1974 Triumph 1500 TC I am putting up for sale due to my lack of time to enjoy it.
This car is essentially a dolomite with the 1500 running gear out of a spitfire and is a rare model with very few still on the road. With twin SU carbs and a recently rebuilt engine the car runs and drives perfect.
I bought the car during lock down as a project. It had only one owner from new and the interior is in almost mint condition. During my ownership lots of work has been undertaken, most importantly the engine was fully rebuilt by CF engineering with hardened valve seats fitted to allow for running on un-leaded fuel. Additional work includes; brake replacement, diff renovation, front end panel rebuild, ignition system replacement and lots more. I have also fitted a rev counter, oil pressure gauge and rally spot lights all of which are in working order.
Mechanically and structurally the car is in very good condition however as is shown in the pictures there is a decent amount of body rust. Unfortunately I no longer have time to repair this and do not get it out to enjoy as much as I should hence the reason for the sale. The car drives great and has very little underside rust as I focused on getting it back into proper running order but does need work on the body panels.
I have a set of roof bars which will be included with the sale as well as several pieces of original documentation which help to build the history of the car. I also have a set of GAZ fully adjustable shocks for the car that I never had time to fit that can be included for an additional cost.
