Description
1974 Triumph TR6 – Left Hand Drive, Damson Red, California Import
If you value style and dependability in equal measure, this car is your perfect match.
This beautifully restored 1974 Triumph TR6 was imported from California in 2004 and has been in my care for the past 21 years. A true enthusiast’s project, it underwent a full body-off, nut-and-bolt restoration completed in 2007—all carried out by myself to concourse standard, with new parts primarily sourced from Triumph specialist TRGB. Fewer than 3, 000 miles have been added since the rebuild.
Included with the car: a full photo record of the restoration, Invoices and its official heritage certificate.
Restoration Features:
• Strengthened and powder-coated black chassis
• Professionally painted panels and body tub in original Damson Red (clear over base)
• Complete new interior, featuring leather seats
• Reconditioned engine, gearbox, distributor and lead-free cylinder head
• Twin SU carburettors
• Wire wheels
• Electronic ignition and immobiliser
• Tadpole Converted classic radio with DAB and FM.
• Hood with Mohair cover
• Stainless steel twin exhaust
Although registered as a Historic Vehicle (MOT exempt), it will come with a full 12 months MOT (with no advisories). The car is mechanically sound with flawless reliability, and most importantly—both chassis and body are completely rust-free.
Viewings and inspections are welcome. Feel free to ask any questions.
A Bit of TR6 Heritage
The Triumph TR6, produced between 1968 and 1976, was the last of Triumph’s traditional sports cars and remains one of the most iconic British roadsters of its era. Designed with input from German coachbuilder Karmann, the TR6 combined classic British engineering with sharp, squared-off styling that gave it a muscular, purposeful look.
Powered by a 2. 5-litre straight-six engine, the TR6 delivered a thrilling driving experience. Over 91, 000 units were built, with the vast majority exported to the United States, making it a beloved classic on both sides of the Atlantic.
