Description
Stunning 64 Thunderbird in its original colour, huge amounts of work carried out over my 16 year ownership including engine rebuild and modifications to improve oil circulation around the engine. Gearbox rebuild, power steering and brakes have all been rebuilt as well. New heavier duty rear springs fitted, fully resprayed and small amount of panel work rectification, the car when stripped had very little rust supporting it being a california car as shown on its vin. Some retrimming of the front seats and door cards has taken place. All vacuum pipes for central locking and vents have been sorted, and electric windows have been sorted and work well. Some rechroming has been done, and she sits on American Racing Alloy wheels. Overall one of the best hard top Thunderbirds of this era.
She is wonderful to drive and the 390 cu in (6. 4 litre) v8 makes her really fly. She has a Holley carburettor and electronic ignition for easy starting, full stainless exaust sounds great.
The car is a multi award winner and needs to be seen in person to really appreciate it. Call me to discuss further or for more information. I purchased the car back in 2009 as always wanted a big American car, the colour was what drew me to it, it's the original shade called Pagoda Green and looks fabulous after it's respray. Shes very well appointed and was top of the range back in the day, fitted with lots of luxury features such as central locking. She drives beautifully, power delivery is smooth and she is comfortable on long drives, power steering is effortless along with servo assisted brakes. She always attracts lots of attention.
