In 1970, a worker wrote down three digits corresponding to the car's identification number. This numbering indicates that this example was produced very early in the 1971 production cycle. This is the 836th Corvette made in 1971 out of 1949 examples, so the last three digits of the identification number are 836. This identification/ sticker is extremely valuable and important for identifying pre-1972 high performance Chevrolets with certainty.
