TRIUMPH TR7 AUTO.
advertised as a very light project. Brooklands green with fantastic gold original side stripe kit still fitted. green check matching interior. Also Extremely rare in being an automatic version, not to everyones taste, but personally i bought it for that reason, it will make it a very relaxing easy classic to cruise.
Bought as a very original very solid un-molested car a few yrs ago, since then i have tried to lightly restore it all round keeping its originality whilst improving it wherever i could. Whilst far from perfect, is has that nice unrestored look. It is a nice sharp tr7, not a filled up freshly painted example.
I have removed cleaned detailed and re fitted most things, interior stripped out new carpets fitted and everything else cleaned and re fitted. Full webasto sunroof works well, and is nice and flat and in very good condition. X4 new tyres fitted too
Car runs and drives but only ever round a yard. Engine and box seem sound and car starts and runs well. brakes work all electrics work, but pop up lights need more attention. Ill explain if you call me. Car electrics are not my best forte.
Car is correctly registered as historic status,, so no MOT ot Tax required. I am sadly loosing my storage sometime soon, so something will have to go i guess, i am continuing on with it, currently working improving under engine bay, and have some service items, so it may be improved further than the advert suggests soon. Update, engine bay is now much improved after attention, with pics added, and after basic service items fitted car now runs well.
Overall a very tidy honest and well presented old tr7. Getting harder to find these days, as being so unloved for yrs has meant many have disappeared. Lots or convertibles about, but coupe less so, and i like the 70s full wedge look of the original. Now finally getting the attention they deserve, and are a very useable relatively modern classic, much more so than the earlier tr's.
