Description
Lotus 7 Series 1 Early.
Here we have for sale the rolling chassis of a
series one car with the master cylinders in the
Same position as the Lotus 11. I bought the
remains of this car some 40 years ago it was used
for grass track racing, I raced a series one E
Type ! The chassis had been very heavily modified
large role cage back end chopped off plus lots of
others add on's I restored the chassis many years
Ago. The original radiator survived as it was
Protected by a great big front bumper!!!! The
engine gearbox that is with the car was apparently
the one that came with the car as it had a Rover V8
Engine very crudely mounted i it!!!! There is no
chassis number with it but it was a very early
Car. There is everything with it to make it a
running rolling chassis, the engine has a spare
cooper cylinder head a lightweight flywheel plus
Cooper 998 pistons. Gearbox is there but I cant
find the great lever, propshat is the correct
length, axle is the correct Nash one with 8"
Drums. This could quite easily be moded to fit a
Climax engine and make a great race car. The
chassis has the mountings for the De Dion diff if
You were going that way. Anymore photos required please ask, Very rare opportunity to acquire such a car. only reason for selling is I'm now back in too Ferrari'sOnly history I know about the car is it was a grass track car in the late 1970's
