Description
I have owned this car for the past 20 years. MOT Exempt but recently MOT’d for sale (expires Aug 26). Showing 41850 miles but less than 2000 total in my ownership.
Selling simply due to lack of use and another Triumph project taking up my time.
Considerable work completed in recent years:
• New complete n/ s floor pan and sill (inner/ outer/ strengthener/ end cap) at a cost over £2K.
• Brakes refreshed, new pads, rotors, shoes and Goodrich hoses. New master cylinder.
• New clutch, master and slave cylinders. New propshaft UJs.
• New front springs and shocks.
• New rear shocks and rubbers for rear spring.
• New front poly ARB bushes, new drop links and new track rod ends
• Completely refurbished seats (frames, straps, webbing, foam, vinyl etc.)
• Full width radiator and new hoses.
• Pertronix Electronic Ignition.
• Wheels refinished.
• Gas Strut Bonnet Conversion
Inspection welcome. This is a lovely fun little car that I have maintained at considerable expense over the years. It starts and drives well with the engine feeling strong and the handling tight despite being over 50 years old. Naturally, it is Tax and MOT-exempt but I put it through an MOT recently to reassure any potential buyers.
The car presents well but the paintwork and brightwork is showing its age on closer inspection.
In response to some recent queries please note that this is a standard 4-speed without overdrive. It is a soft top only, there is no hard top. It has not been converted to unleaded fuel, I simply use valvemaster. Despite its relative lack of use it can handle long journeys and I drove it to Rustival and back on the last weekend of August without issue (approx. 150 miles).
