Bentley Mk VI 1952. Ganz Aluminium-Karosserie von Hooper (die königlichen Karosseriebauer der Ära) nach Empress-Spezifikation. Mit original Unterbanks-Heizung und elektrischen Fenstern.
After 73 years the condition has appropriate patina with very minor blemishes on paintwork.
Recommissioned after many years of storage with all correct oils etc.
The underside is amazing for its age without a hint of rust on the chassis, it even retains the original leather leaf spring jackets, the only oil visible is from the central chassis lubrication system which is working as intended.
Drives very smoothly with almost silent engine and surprisingly easy to drive!
The woodwork although original is in fabulous condition.
Original chrome work in near perfect condition.
The deep leather interior has lovely patina and is in great condition for its age.

I have a photo of the car at a competition showing the owner receiving a winner's prize.
This rare Hooper Empress can only appreciate in value, 3 years ago the few examples available to buy were over double the asking price of this one. In my opinion it's one of a kind for very little money, the driving experience lifts your spirits adding to the countless thumbs up and toots from other drivers... it always attracts a lot of attention at classic car meets.
Sad to see it go but I desperately need the space in my garage for another project.
