Over £20k spent on this car - what I think are 15 stamps in the handbook (they ran out of space)!
Most comprehensive history file of a car I’ve seen.

Tyres July 21For sale is my brilliant Lotus Excel SE. It has been totally reliable throughout my ownership of 4 years and has at times been my daily driver. I bought the car requiring recommissioning having been sat on a driveway for over 6 years. During this time it had a new cam belt, rear brakes, tyres, fuel pump and a good service to get it back on the road. I’ve since maintained the car ensuring it drives well. Sadly it has not had much use recently and it is reluctantly being put up for sale. Having owned many Lotuses including two previous Excel/ Eclats I can comfortably say this has been the best one overall.
The car runs well and is still a fast car. The main selling features of the car are the extensive history and braking system. The upgraded brakes (pictured) perform well and if ordered today through SJ Sportscars would set you back 2. 5k! The history is extensive and the car comes with an original manual with 15 stamps and two folders full of receipts and invoices from the history of the car totalling over £20k. The car has done 145, 000 miles but has been so well maintained and documented that it should be good for many more!
The overall car cosmetically however is average. The paintwork shines nicely when polished but as a red car does start to fade after time. There are some micro blisters on the bonnet and various stone chips. The two biggest marks are the offside front bumper which was damaged when stationary by another car and the rear bumper corner from a small parking scrape. The interior is also a little tired. The wood and seat fabric look good but there is a tear to the driver seat and the carpets could do with replacement. Finally the power steering squeaks, something I will try to rectify prior to sale.
In all a great car to use and enjoy as it is, or tidy up cosmetically.
