Description
Extremely original S3 LHD LSB24xx.
Original frame. All body panels are original. Seats and full weather equipment are original. The original engine block is included with the car.
The car is in mechanical good condition (newly MoT) and with patina, as it has not been resprayed since the 70ties.
Currently fitted with an exceptionally crisp 1700cc/ 711 engine with twin Webers. The original DFM32 is included. A Quaife limited-slip differential is currently installed in the original, unmodified rear axle; the original differential is included with the car. The original gearbox shifts tight and precise.
The pedals has been moved approx. 8 cm forward to fit tall drivers or lower the classic driving position. This modification is easy to convert if necessary. Sold new in Canada in 1969, this car had just two careful owners before I imported it to Denmark in 2004, becoming the third custodian.
With only about 340 S3s ever produced — and just a few in LHD — it is a truly rare example.
I have enjoyed it on numerous tours abroad, where it has proven absolutely reliable. On small, winding roads it delivers an incredibly rewarding drive, and in its current setup it is nothing short of thrilling on the racetrack.
Offered for sale as it is not being driven as much as it deserves (part of a collection reduction)
