Description
UPDATE: I added more images today (11th October) and recorded a video. Note the door cards do not have any holes cut out (lots have holes where speakers were installed).
This is your chance to own beautiful 2000 GT Liftback from 1976 (UK spec), in excellent condition. This is an actual GT (not a ST pretending to be a GT), and the V5 document lists the car as historic, making it MOT and Tax exempt; also Ulez compliant.
The car was fully restored 10 years ago (photographic library to prove all work was carried out by a professional body company), and underwent a full bare-metal re-spray in a gorgeous metallic 2 stage pearl green (which looks so much better in person). The car sits on original 1977 6. 5 J Wolfrace Slot Mags and Goodrich tyres, which really sets off it's aggressive stance. The interior is in very good condition, and all original. It has a Nardi Deep dish steering wheel (brushed metal) but comes with the original factory GT steering wheel (in excellent condition). Everything functions, heater, lights, wipers, and so on...
I have kept the car garaged and never taken it out in rain, or driven it on roads after rock salt has been spread. I have serviced the car regularly with annual oil and filter changes (the best quality). The engine runs well, with the gearbox and clutch also being in good order.
If you are a serious potential buyer, feel welcome to contact me for further information, and photographs. I'm not interested in swaps, auction companies, time wasters, or stupid low offers. I've owned a few of these over the past four decades, and this is by far the best one. I'm selling purely due to commitments that prevent me from using it as much as I used to.
Some spares are included, along with contact details for people who are able to source parts and know the model inside out. It's had just two previous owners, each one taking good care of the car, which is a real head turner, and very often is the starting point of a conversation with classic car enthusiasts, petrol heads, and anyone who wants to ask questions about your 'Mustang'. It's won a number of classic car shows, best in show and best Japanese classic.
It feels great to drive, looks amazing, and sounds lovely with the stainless exhaust creating some serious rumble.
It sits there looking cool, and the interior takes you back to a time where cars looked way more interesting than today, lots of dials, and that smell of an old car. I'm a non-smoker so there are no cigarette smells, or any burns in the upholstery. There are no cracks in the dashboard.
