Description
1968 Chevrolet G10 Sportvan.
Original paintwork (Tripoli turquoise) with amazing patina.
Straight six, 4. 1 litre, 3 speed manual (on the tree), single carb.
Bought over from the USA by myself in 2018. V5 in my name and all taxes paid and registered correctly.
Mechanical work carried out since ownership includes:
Differential refurbished.
Tie rod ends replaced.
King pins replaced.
Gear box refurbished and re built.
Complete re wire.
Complete refurb underneath with all bushings replaced with nylon and raptor coated.
Van floor stripped and raptor coated.
All seats and frames refurbished and re-covered (front seats in OG vinyl).
Carpeted throughout.
Drum brakes on each corner (with potentiometer).
And of course, a cherry bomb and dixy horn has been added.
There are spares with the van which includes a refurbished cylinder head, new starter motor and a set of 4 x Radir wheels and tyres amongst other ancillary items. This really is a one of its kind here in the UK.
It started life in Arkansas, moved up to Missouri where it was rescued from a yard and eventually ended up in California.
It gains a lot attention and is well received at shows or when out with the public.
A super cool van that is a real head turner and conversation piece that has been well looked after, maintained regularly and serviced annually.
Drives beautifully with the straight six, sounds great and even returns around 22 mpg!
