Description
Daimler 1939 EL24 Straight Six engine complete with original fluid flywheel Professionally rebuilt with new head casting. Price includes complete set of custom made casting patterns for the head. (location Cambridgeshire).
Schedule of works undertaken include full cylinder block rebuild including re-white metalling, new JE pistons manufactured to specification and bored accordingly. The newly casted cylinder head has had hardened valve seat inserts machined in to run unleaded petroleum. All new valves and valve springs, timing chain and rocker return springs. The SU carburettor has been completely stripped and rebuilt, as has the AC fuel pump and the distributor serviced. Other works include specialist machining to rear crankshaft and timing cover to accommodate modern rotary shaft oil seals.
Also available unfinished project based on original EL24 1939 chassis (#48252) and Windover body Limo. Including all running gear and Wilson preselector gear box, all in good running condition, plus 5 new spoked wheels (4x19 w/ Blockley tyres). Car has UK MOT. ( Location Philippines)
