We are pleased to present this Jaguar Type E Coupé Series 1 that rolled off the factory in May 1964, equipped with the 3. 8-litre inline-six engine. A true symbol of British design from the 1960s, the Type E combines elegance, performance and purity of line. This 1964 model year marks the final evolution of the 3. 8 version before the introduction of the 4. 2 engine, and thus retains all the most sought-after aesthetic characteristics: small leather bucket seats, front headlights under glass domes, chrome half-bumpers and aviation-inspired toggles, typical of the early Series 1.
A keen collector, the previous owner bought this vehicle in 1975 and has kept it until today; a chapter closes after 50 years of fine and loyal service.
