Description
This lovely little Mk3 Spitfire was bought in 2022 from an elderly gentleman who had been doing a full strip down restoration which he started in 1980 and who, unfortunately, became too old to finish his project.
I had to go over most of his work again because of how long he had taken but finally got the car back on the road after 40 plus years in waiting.
I did manage to take the elderly gentleman out in the car after completing it and he said it was something he never thought he would do but unfortunately I have to sell now because I need garage space for other projects
The car was originally white but the previous owner had it resprayed red.
The car has been fitted with a new clutch kit, thrust bearing, oil seal and gaskets.
Full front and rear polybush set
New brake calipers and flexible hoses to front
New brake cylinders and flexible hoses to rear
New battery
New sump and rocker cover gaskets
New steering rack gaiters
4 new tyres
4 new hubcaps
Existing steel rims blasted and powder coated
New heater valve
New full electronic distributor ignition kit
New hood cover
And many other smaller items
The car also had a full service July 2025I bought this little car because it deserves to be back on the road where it belongs after sitting for so long waiting.
This is a real fun car to drive and gets admiration where ever it goes.
