Description
RARE 1956 right hand drive 23 window samba in very original condition. Not a show van. It was the family van and took us to the south of France, Brittany, Devon, Dorset, Isle of Wight festival many times. It was my regular daily van for 8 years but the last 2 had hardly been used due to family circumstances. Been garaged throughout my ownership of 10 years. Very clean rust free underneath.
Had the electrics redone, suspension and brakes improved, 1600 cc engine with single carb. Roof and front stripped to bare metal and repainted. Replica fuch alloys. Original wheels available. Stainless safari windows at front with original available. Original windows elsewhere with stainless replacements never fitted.
Originally a German van exported to Indonesia then imported to the uk a few years before I bought it. V5 VW microbus 1956.
Needs side panels stripping to bare metal and repainting, headlining and upholstery renewing to bring up to show standard. A nice van. Vincent the magic bus. I bought this to keep forever but tragic family circumstances mean I need to sell Vincent to manage the changes. It is a fab van. Taken us all on many holidays in the uk and France. My daily runner and advertised my artwork everywhere he went. The name was a blend with my dad’s Vincent motorcycle. The van has appeared in the local press advertising my stage artwork for Heaven 17 and Bad manners. It looks great and was the star at the Isle of Wight festival, rewind and car fest many times.
