2 seater 4 1/ 2 special built in the 1950’s by Henry Coates as his third and final version of how a Rapide should look using all the best 4 1/ 2 litre bits -
M45R short chassis, LG45 sanction 4 Engine, G10 central change gearbox, 3. 3:1 high ration back axle and lightweight aluminium body.
During my 16 years of ownership the car has been constantly improved with the engine rebuilt, the body refurbished and resprayed.
The car has a good previous competition history and has completed the Flying Scotsman rally without issue. It has taken part in many Lagonda tours and events in the UK and across the continent, for which it is ideally suited.
