1977 Triumph 2500s Estate För Restaurering
Extremely rare top of the range Triumph estate which was bought around 15 years ago with the intentions of restoring. Sadly the body shop that had the car went bankrupt and since then I have decided to move the car on.
Although stripped, the car is 100% complete with all trim, glass, wood, lights etc (see photos). The interior is in very good condition but will need a deep clean. Headlining is all complete with no tears etc. All door cards are in very good condition.
The rear windows were removed to address the areas of rust to the frames and tailgate apertures as photographed. Other areas of rust to note are the tailgate lip, bottom of the front wings and a small section of the footwell to the passenger side. Other than this it is a solid car, with no rust to floor pans, wheel arches or front/ rear valances and sills. A lot of the rust on the main body is surface only.
The car runs and drives but hasn’t been started for a couple of years but did run very well. I have had the car turning over and is very free. I believe the mileage to be correct but cannot guarantee. Naturally with the car being off the road for at least the last 15 years it will need a full going over.
A very much a well worthwhile restoration project of a now seldom seen Triumph!
