Well this is a very sad day,,,
This 1981 Laverda Jota Series 2 180 was my pride and joy and in virtually concourse condition before the day of days...
On a very tight roundabout the motor seized and threw me off, no damage to me and very little damage to the offside of the bike only.
Brake master cylinder, but I have an original replacement
two very small dings in the beautiful orange tank
very light scrtaches to the side panel
scratches to the foot rest, which would clean up
scratches to the stainless exhaust
alternator cover scratched, this MIGHT be recoverable.
So that's the sum of the visible damage, not a lot at all.
BUT as stated he seized, I have no idea why. This could be something really simple.... or not.
Please note he is not recorded as a write off etc.
I dont have the heart to start again, so Im open to offers for him as he stands, the engine was in lovely condition, it has a digital ignition fitted, and a high output Motobatt battery. always started first time and the carbs were set up perfectly. He has been fitted with a side stand, I have a centre stand too.
