1973 rover P6 V8 in monza red, 2 former keepers from new. This car has received a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration, completed in 2026. The car features a sandalwood leather interior, new door cards, new Coverdale interior carpet and boot carpet and has factory power assisted steering. All the body panels removed, the base unit has had small patch repairs to sill ends but aside from this, it is exceptional and original. In 25 years of P6 ownership and restoration I have not seen one as solid as this. The car spent many years off the road and presents now at 58, 000 miles. There’s service history (original rover passport to service book) fully stamped up to 49k in 1989 and MOT certificates from 1991 showing 50k, and October 1992 showing 55k. The car was taken off the road in October 1993 and purchased by me in 2023 (30 years off the road). Additionally, there are various bills and receipts prior to my purchase and all receipts associated with the restoration are present. During the restoration, all panels including the roof were removed, replaced where necessary or repaired prior to rust proofing and finishing with 2k base and clear. Each panel was painted separately with all trim/ door frames removed. New body rubbers fitted throughout, with stainless steel fixings throughout. The roof and three quarter panels have been recovered in the original grain everflex vinyl. Mechanically, the suspension was removed, treated for rust and painted before being reassembled with replacement bushes and seals where necessary and new fixings. The braking system is entirely new including Master cyl, servo, all calipers, discs and pads. The underside of the car is in exceptional condition. The Borg Warner 35 transmission received new seals, fluid, filter and changes seamlessly. The engine has received a cylinder heads overhaul, full new exhaust system, new coolant hoses, timing chain, high volume oil pump, reconditioned radiator. Each engine component including brackets have been removed, reconditioned and powder coated before replacing with new stainless fixings. The car benefits from re chromed brightwork, new stainless steel bumpers and numerous new old stock parts including front and rear lamp units. Overall, an exceptional example of a popular, well regarded and very well engineered classic car, that will be hard to better.
