Superb little mk2 Spitfire up for grabs. Full body restoration finished in wedgewood blue. New hood, new chrome, the rear bumpers are with the car just not fitted. Overdrive gearbox, sports exhaust. Fully weather protected underneath. Drives very well. A proper little head turner. Thousands spent and a folder full of photos and receipts for work carried out. Recent rebuilt gearbox, full lubrication service carried out recently by myself, including all grease points. I bought this car 10 plus years ago with a view to using it and restore "as you go ", but as we all know things aren't that easy. It turned out the body was in a pretty bad shape so the decision was made to fully rebuild the body. All panels were purchased from Rimmers and professionally built and painted by Phoenix cars in White Roding. All the chrome was sent away to be re chromed and a new good/ carpets purchased and fitted. The wiring has been overhauled and checked and all is working fine. Underneath it has been fully weatherproofed, I fully intended to use it as often as possible, including in the wet but thus far it hasn't seen rain at all!. Unfortunately, my circumstances are such that I can no longer keep the car, and my dream of driving off into the distance in my little spitfire have been dashed. Someone will gain from years of hard work and dedication getting this beautiful little car fit for the road again. Owning this car will generate lots of attention and as it is an earlier model there aren't many of them left. It's only had 4 previous owners, the previous keeper changed hands in June 2002, I purchased it in Jan 2014. V5 is in my name and registered at my home address.
