The Triumph Spitfire 1500 represents the final and most mature evolution of the small British roadster, the basic design of which was created by Giovanni Michelotti. The 1500 version was fitted with a 1, 493 cm³ in-line four-cylinder engine with a longer stroke, which, compared to the previous 1, 300 model, delivered, above all, more torque and a more responsive performance. Characteristic features include the very low profile, a separate frame and a one-piece front body section that tilts forwards, making the engine compartment exceptionally easy to access. This particular example is fitted with a 1. 5-litre engine and is fully functional and roadworthy. The bodywork features a smart red paint finish and a black interior with characteristic chequered fabric seat upholstery.
