Body / Exterior:
The model presented here is a Triumph Spitfire 4 MK2 from September 1966 in its original ‘Signal Red’ colourway.
After a professional polish done with our orbital polisher, we noted very light swirls on the front face.
The chrome front and rear bumpers are in good display condition despite some traces of oxidation.
The two chrome mirrors and all chrome trim and mouldings are complete, aligned and in good condition.
We noted a small dent on the right-front headlamp embellisher.
The black faux leather soft top is in good condition.
The rear glass mica is fully supple and translucent despite a few fine micro-scratches.
Its installation is easy and its seal remains compliant with era standards.
This example is equipped with a chrome boot trunk lid in perfect condition.
The four original chrome wheel trims are in good condition despite very slight oxidation.
The set is shod with four tyres with 20% wear on the front and rear.
This example is equipped with its original spare wheel.
Among the notable exterior/ body options this example features, we noted the boot/ boot lid ally trim.

Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition.
The black with white piping faux leather seats are near‑new and show no signs of wear or damage.
The black faux leather door panels are in perfect condition.
The wooden dashboard and cap are in good condition.
The original Jaeger instrumentation is fully functional.
We noted a small chip on the wooden dashboard.
The Moto-Lita wooden three-spoke steering wheel and the TRIUMPH wooden gear knob are in excellent condition.
The period radio is no longer functional but has been retained for aesthetics.
This example has 3-point seat belts.
Recently replaced black carpets are in excellent condition, as are the TRIUMPH PVC over-mats.
Among the interior equipment and options of interest, we note: the black faux leather upholstery with white piping restored, the Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, 3-point seat belts and the passenger grab handle.

Chassis:
Upon lifting, the chassis and body are sound, with no visible accident damage or structural corrosion.
The basics: ladder frame chassis, sills, wheel arch lips, floor sections and longitudinal members are in good condition.
As a rule we cannot guarantee perfection of alignments beyond their good visual and road-test validated state.
During the dynamic test, there were no abnormal rattles from the body or running gear (ball joints, bushings...).
Braking is aligned and its efficiency adheres to era standards.
Front discs and pads show 30% wear.
Rear drums are fully functional with no signs of seepage.
A pre-delivery technical inspection confirms overall functionality.

Engine / Transmission:
The mechanicals are operating perfectly.
Compression tests and road test performed by our workshop confirm a healthy engine.
The 4-cylinder starts promptly, with no smoke or suspicious noises and steady idle, as confirmed by the 360° video (engine running) available at the start of the slideshow.
In motion, the engine revs freely without hiccups or overheating.
This example is equipped with two K&N sport air filters.
The manual gearbox functions perfectly.
All four gears go in and out smoothly, including the synchros.
The clutch bite is good.
This example is equipped with a battery disconnect switch.
As is common with these models, engine/ gearbox/ diff sealing remains average.
