Description
Jaguar E-Type S1 Roadster., built December 1967, registered January 1968. Original, UK, matching numbers with Heritage Certificate. In excellent and very original condition throughout. Still in her original colour of Carmen Red with black leather interior, and her original number plate. She's a beautiful car and a delight to drive. As a late Series 1, colloquially known as a Series 1. 5, she combines the pure aesthetic of the original design concept with some of the mechanical and electrical improvements of the Series 2. I've owned the car since 2018 and have covered about 6000 miles and enjoyed every one of them! During my ownership she's been professionally maintained to the highest standards with almost all components that are subject to wear being replaced or up-graded to ensure reliability, including: Halogen headlights, Fosseway aluminium radiator and electric fan, expansion tank and silicon hoses, Lucas coil, leads and 123 Distributor with electronic ignition, Steering rack, Alternator, Fosseway starter motor, Brake master cylinder, Brake servo, Fosseway heat shield, Stainless steel exhaust, Fuel pump plus new Springs and shock absorbers all round. She's just had a new clutch fitted and while the engine and gearbox were out the e-type specialists overhauled the engine and fitted new seals, bearings, high compression pistons, timing chain and oil pump. In addition the head was re-furbished and new valves, seats and springs fitted. Its MOT in October 25 had two advisories – a loose spoke (!) and small oil leak; both fixed. She runs perfectly and is great to drive, I've enjoyed many holidays with her, last year we did LeMans Classic, a tour of the Peak District and two driving holidays in Wales. Having her 100% reliable and properly maintained has been an obsession of mine and she's properly sorted. She's a great, reliable car that's ULEZ, road tax and MOT exempt.
